The Story

THE SUPER FIX, a novel of suspense by two Ottawa, Canada writers, follows the exploits of a criminal genius who lays out a plan to alter the outcome of the ultimate sports event of the year for a billion-dollar payoff.

THE SUPER FIX is a story of intrigue, gambling, lust and murder that will change the way that major-league football is played in North America. The sport will never be the same again.

Small-time gangster Carlo Rivera aims to move up the ladder in the New York Mob by impressing a group of crimelords with his big score: fixing the 37th Annual Super Bowl game! When the Dons of “the Head Table” give Carlo the high sign, he enlists the services of sinister cohorts to set up offshore betting and implement electronic surveillance. Through bribery and blackmail, Carlo sets in motion the scheme to 'throw' the biggest sports event of the year.

The Super Fix is a work of fiction and should be construed as nothing but. All characters, locales and incidents portrayed in the novel are products of the authors’ imagination or have been used fictitiously. Any resemblance to any person living or dead is entirely coincidental. However, in order to add verisimilitude to the story and characters, the authors have drawn from the real Dallas Cowboys football team -- in an interview with the owner of the Dallas Cowboys and during the SuperBowl play-by-plays, when several real-life football players are named. The incidents described during the interview and the naming of the players are purely fictitious, as the Dallas Cowboys are playing a fictitious football team -- the Des Moines Blue Bombers -- in a fictitious SuperBowl game.
